NYIREGYHAZI LISZT RECITAL

This OOP 2 LP set from Columbia is the best of all Nyiregyhazi recorded work. A shame it is not available. In today's world Liszt is sorely underrated and certainly could be voted "artist deserving of more recognition" ...how sad is that ? Nyiregyhazi certainly has inspired a wide range of critical response....the recent "Lost Genius" is a marvel to appear in a world where it seems the statement ... "Classical music ?...nobody cares !" is not without merit....

GUIOMAR NOVAES/SCHUMANN

Novaes available recordings are sadly limited considering her recording history. She is among the the best of the "Romantic" interpreters. Her Schumann and Chopin are exquisite . Here is a Turnabout recording long out of print. It is a vinyl LP transfered to CDR using Pro Tools. It contains Carnaval, Scenes From Childhood, and Papillons. They are among the finest of all time.
